I'd be careful about those Fortune cookie musings. I got one just this afternoon that said, "Everything will go your way now." Which leads me to conclude that later, I'm really gonna get screwed. Likewise on yours, I'm reminded (to paraphrase) of something someone else once said: sitting on top of the world? Sitting at the North Pole--where's that at?

Thanks, Bill. No need to worry about literalism and fortune cookie musings. I just liked the way those words talked to Jake's situation in the story.
