From Venus and Adonis
William Shakespeare
Like a red morn that ever yet betokened,
Wreck to the seaman, tempest to the field,
Sorrow to the shepherds, woe unto the birds,
Gust and foul flaws to herdmen and to herds.
from Matthew XVI: 2-3
When in evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: For the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today; for the sky is red and lowering.

i've looking a blog post that would let me fit in what's next. but there hasn't been one, so here goes:
i read "Famous Builder" sunday. lovely, moving...quite a pleasure for me. in worlds so seemingly unlike my own, i felt at home.
and liturgical music. what a surprise! i've been trying to imagine what the liturgical music scene or scenes in america looks like.
do you still sing, play guitar, piano, organ, write music? (i'm hoping for a yes...)
happy new year!
Thank you for the sweet message, Nancy. I couldn't be happier that you connected with the book. I haven't played an instrument or written music in a while, but you never know what's next. The new house seems to invite song. I hope you have a great new year, too.
