Chilly Scenes of Winter

Winter Scene
A.R. Ammons

There is now not a single
leaf on the cherry tree:

except when the jay
plummets in, lights, and,

in pure clarity, squalls:
then every branch

quivers and
breaks out in blue leaves.

You too, Collin. Thank you. May it be a great one.

Particularly love the first photo, Paul, so evocative, as is the poem. The arrangement of space is wonderful too, in both.

Happiest of New Years to you and yours. Glad I found your blog. And glad to see that you'll be on our coast a few times in 09.
